I've tried to do some research on this hat, but it's a bit confusing. Stetson had their version of a "Carlsbad", although I don't think this is their model. This hat is from the 1930's - 1940's and in my opinion was made by the Mayser Co. They had a version of a Carlsbad as well.
Size: 7 (22" circumference)
Zuza (the model) typically wears size 7 3/8 so this hat doesn't fit her head properly.
Material: The hat is a wool/fur blend and in today's standards would be the equivalent of about a 6X quality. It does have the original sweatband, but no liner. Occasionally I put new sweatband and liners in these old hats for a cost of about $45.
Condition: I chose to leave this one original because it's totally wearable as is. It does show minor wear and a few tiny moth spots, but all together is in great shape for a hat that's 80-90 years old.
