maker's inspirations:
Ahote, named for his restless spirit, has been an inspiration for the things I create. Long mane blowing in the wind, tall grass moving like waves, these have served to send me looking for a way to recreate that movement in something that can be worn.
Suede is a wonderful medium to work with. Each hide has it's own personality. Cutting, sewing, and twisting each piece by hand allows me to shape them into a unique piece of wearable art.
Beads and findings with a history from near and far make for beautiful embellishments on the suede.
