Here is a nice reproduction painting of Frederick Remington's 'The Scout: Friends or Enemies?'
This is an actual oil painting that is rendered in a nice loose style. It's unsigned, but has a great palette, a nice patina and a beautiful crackling that runs throughout the piece. I'm estimated this painting was done in the 1950's by the look of the stretcher frame.
We purchased it in an antique store in Montana.
