1966 Bucheimer mail bag that I restored. I resewed, riveted and made any repairs necessary. I also added a new, longer, adjustable strap with a sheepskin slide. I tried to keep the integrity and patina of the bag, but also added some touches of my own. I added a short strap at the top made from an old halter from the 60's. I also attached an early Fred Harvey era Navajo buckle.
The buckle can easily be removed if you decide to wear it on a belt. It's as simple, as removing one Chicago screw.
This is an incredible, one of a kind piece of Americana, that is totally sound and is great for a laptop or overnight bag.
Measurements:
The bag is roughly 17" x 17". The long strap has a 21" drop but could easily be made shorter. The small strap has a 5" drop, and the buckle measures 2" x 3".
